劇情簡介
柯林法洛榮登威尼斯影帝寶座、馬丁麥克唐納獲得威尼斯影展最佳劇本獎。
柯林法洛、布蘭登葛里森再度合作，在名為伊尼舍林的島上，住著音樂家康姆（布蘭登葛里森飾演）與鄰居派瑞（柯林法洛飾演），兩人原本是多年的好友，但突然之間，康姆單方面與派瑞斷交，理由是他不想再聽派瑞無聊的言談，但派瑞不明所以，他從受傷無助到憤怒，甚至三番兩次與之攀談，直到康姆將威脅化為更激進的實際行動………。
馬丁麥可唐納再展拿手黑色諷刺喜劇，當友誼走到盡頭的心碎和傷害推到極端，所產生的憤怒與報復，竟然比愛情還失控，時空背景與愛爾蘭內戰遙相對照，更顯其惡趣味。
Banshee，出自愛爾蘭神話，中文普遍翻譯成報喪女妖，在愛爾蘭的傳說裡，報喪女妖代表死亡的象徵，她們在某人即將死去時會號哭，一直到1948年，都還有目擊報告。《伊尼舍林的女妖》便以神話妖精為名，彷彿女妖的老婦一開始就敲響了兩個男人友誼的喪鐘，而且從斷交的男人身上，看到了友情帶來的傷害，竟遠比愛情還可怕。
2019年底，製片人葛拉漢布羅德本特在阿根廷旅遊時，收到了馬丁麥多納的劇本，在飛機上，他深陷在《伊尼舍林的女妖》各種人物的情緒當中，「兩個朋友的疏遠，導致災難性的後果。它擁有馬丁麥多納的所有標誌：有趣、悲傷、黑暗，充滿人性」，於是探照燈影業開始著手將這部關於友誼、不顧一切的執著招來可怕後果的電影搬上銀幕。
導演透過兩個摰友的情感破裂隱喻愛爾蘭內戰帶來的傷害和悲劇，「我希望這部電影能提醒人們，做出一個錯誤的決定會產生深遠的影響，你是否投入全部的身心靈到工作中而無視朋友、戀人或家人？工作是最重要的嗎？誰受傷有關係嗎？這是一個我跟電影都沒辦法有答案議題，但也許我們可以面對它，不要再嘗試走那條路。」
